2 questions:

1. Is it okay to fast longer for N like not eating from the morning and then just eat few crackers an hour before?
2. If I don't fast enough there will be a problem with N absorbtion?

I'd say eat normally but not 2 hours before N and best to take an anti emitic before

Present food in a stomach might take N longer to absorb

If there's no food in your stomach, the N will absorb the fastest.
The less food there is in your stomach the faster the N will absorb

1. PPEH suggests that having something light to eat beforehand, like the few crackers one or two hours beforehand, should be fine.
- If you can have it two to fours beforehand, I would do that, as it increases the chance of your stomach being empty.
- PPEH even suggests having a regular meal in the morning, then a light snack prior to your N, is safe for absorption

2. You don't have to strictly fast for N. Fasting ensures that your stomach is empty to absorb the quickest. Even if you have a light snack two to four hours beforehand, there's a good chance your stomach will be empty and ready for N absoprtion
- Note, It is a trade-off to fast for multiple hours, like 8+ hours, as some people may feel nauseous from all the fasting

Really hope that helps

Thank you for the great summary! If it's better absorbed with an empty stomach, why have any food at all? What's the rationale to have some crackers a few hours beforehand?
