Before dying, ill be fasting, im hanging myself. I know this isnt uncommon for people who do sn but for me its a little deeper. Im fasting for a week before I die so that during that time ill be forced to sit, empty stomach, knowing that im fasting as a preparatory act before death. I believe it will prepare me mentally and physically. On one hand I suspect but cant prove that an underfed and weak body may be less likely to be able to stand itself back up since im partial hanging, and thats a fear I have. It also, makes me sit with the fact that I will die and so I think itll force me to reconcile myself because the act of fasting before death will "make it real".
I guess its almost like a sort if spiritual thing in a way? For me.
I also, just have a weak appetite and lowkey hate food. It all bores me, I only ever have the same things and eating food in america already kind of feels like eating holographic meatloaf, so🤷‍♀️ fuck it!

It's not bad, after one day or two you get a pleasant feeling of minor euphoria from the not eating. Also a bit light in the head which I never found unpleasant, it also makes you feel thin too.

Thanks for the encouragement! I gave a test run earlier. Did 16 hrs then broke my fast with a bananan. Didn't really get uncomfortable at all and felt fine, even after doing a hard days work at ups carrying heavy ah packages. Feeling confident in my resolve to fast before death.

I did a ~70 hour fast a few days ago, it's pretty chill after the first day or so. Wouldn't it also mean that there wouldn't be as much bodily fluids excreted after you die?

I can relate to your thinking here a lot, though it's difficult to articulate. It might be the effect of lingering religiosity on my part; trying to reach some kind of spiritual purity through asceticism. It could even represent a kind of penance, or a milder substitute for self-flagellation. In any case, I'll likely be doing the same thing as you when my time comes.

Ive thought about this but in not sure. When the body does purge, its because bacteria in the gut that helps you digest food turns inward to digest you, making our organs into like, a frothy brown red soup. Pretty gross so I would hope it at least slows this process down.

I definitely feel at least for me it has to do with like a spiritual kind of letting go of life and being like "clean" in a way? Like a right of passage.
