Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

does anyone else feel like their family is emotionally sort of distant in a way... i feel like my parents don't sympathize with/feel concern for me when i am stressed, ill, unwell. last december i passed out during finals week in my school cafeteria, like the fire department was called and everything, i woke up on the floor confused, and my mom just said,"oh well, one time i passed out because i felt sick!" and didn't seem to think that this was a sign of anything particularly bad. other people were looking at me like there was serious concern. she also doesn't seem to think its a concern at all when i lose my period for weeks out of stress or not eating enough. she just says, well, lots of women get their period late sometimes. why doesn't she understand that im stressed? the worst is that when i tell her im stressed, im upset, she just says, well i am too.

Some people are emotionally unavailable because they choose not to be. However, most are unavailable because they do not have the capacity to recognize distress, know how to help, or what to say. If one is not able to get help from family, one has to develop a skill set to manage things more or less on their own.

A self assessment is a good place to start. The anxiety and stress you feel can be from real stressful circumstances or from a heightened level of sensitivity. If from circumstances, it can be helpful to manage the circumstances to less stressful environments, people, or ambitions. If it it more internal, it can be helpful to identify the cause. If one was raised in a critical or oppressive environment one can carry with them stress inducing reflexes that need to be modified to more normal levels. If one simply has a more sensitive makeup, then finding more protected environments such as artistic expression or a slower pace can help.

First off, I'm sorry that you have to go through that.

I also have this problem of my family being distant emotionally and not having enough support for the condition I face daily, at the end of the day I have to rely on myself entirely.

Personally, I'm more stoic and not an emotional person anymore because what I have had to go through is pretty traumatic.

That's how I cope personally.

Maybe your mom deals with her issues in that fashion as well, mine is really emotional and cries over the silliest of matters like not having soda or sweet food.

I don't engage because I'm going through a lot personally as well and honestly it's not conducive to what I want out of life.

It's not personal but I deal with enough already to always make the right statement and provide my energy.
