Help F*ck! Is my SN still ok?

I checked my SN moments ago (I haven't checked it for a while) and I discovered A FREAKING TEAR in a package. How the f*ck it has come there!? Just my awful luck... I don't know how long it has been in that state there. It has been in my cupboard in dry and dark environment (I suppose). The substance inside has become rock-hard anyway. Is my SN still okay to use? What should I do now?

This SN should definitely be tested. There is no way anyone could tell you how degraded your SN is. We don't know when the tear was made, and how big it is. We can only guess the SN's purity now.

Almost two years old but like I said, I don't know how long the tear has been in the package. Last time I checked it was all right but it has been a while (like several months) since I last time checked it. It could have been in that state for couple of months perhaps but that's only a rough approximation. I've been better lately but for like for a week I've been suicidal and depressed once again so I thought checking it would be worth it but then I saw this unfortunate event has ocurred (the tear in the package).

I wonder that should I just order a new one? What I've read though is that getting pure SN is harder and harder day by day. I just want SN to be there just in case things get out of hand.

Recently an electrolyte powder I had ordered went bad after opening it and not using it for like maybe 2 or 3 months. I had another new unopened pack of the same product, which comes in a sealed bag, that was in perfectly good condition when I opened it several months after I first received it.

If an electrolyte powder could go wrong after being opened, I am not very hopeful of a different outcome if the same happened to a pack of SN. SN is supposed to be extremely hygroscopic. The lid of the electrolyte powder box was kept tightly closed but that still didn't prevent moisture ingress and the contents went bad.

Having said that, I think I also recall one of the posts in the stability of SN and N thread saying that SN lasted for a long time in a solution where it was dissolved in water - please correct me if I am wrong - so one never knows. It may still be good after all.

One can say for certain only after proper testing. One thing for sure is that the clock is ticking though. If it was me, I would be ordering a new one if I could, as I wouldn't want to take any chances..
