I don't know what to do anymore. I love my work but I'm a car mechanic and I only work with men. I get sexually harassed at work by old ugly gross men. They're all either sex offenders, incels or racists. Including the boss. I get bullied at school for being the only woman in my class they're acting like little boys. They're literally treating me like an object. I hate these creatures. I come home from work everyday, crying, with suicide being the only thing on my mind. I have a boyfriend who I love very much and I don't want to leave him but it's so frustrating and no one understands how much it affects my mental health. I just want my fucking peace I've never been at peace in my life there's always men ruining it.

I get you, I work at a scrapyard. It's ridiculous how some people feel so comfortable treating a woman the way they do. As a result, I am not very engaging with our customer base, I can't recall how many times I've been asked to smile or how many customers have commented about my ass. I guess I make it worse because I won't shut the fuck up about it either, always pointing out how stupid it is that I get treated the way I do. Or how my coworkers or customers say really fucked up shit about their wives or other women in their lives and it's completely fine. Even other guys I thought were "safe" think I'm overreacting. Although I do have PTSD related to SA, so I get pretty riled up about certain themes. My job makes me extemely depressed too, and I'm trying to get out of there. It's sad because I don't mind the work, but I have no free time, money, or human decency. I refuse to let them win though. I hope we find peace (aka certain men learn how to treat others with human decency.) Honestly though, you might just need to evacuate that place ASAP, although I understand that's not an option for many people. <3

YOU UNDERSTAND. Everyone tells me to ignore it and not let it get to me but its not that easy. I also have PTSD, not SA but also men related. I grew up in a country where a woman is only allowed to speak if a man allows it. I was never allowed to wear what I wanted or say what I thought. Now I finally got away from these men, I live in one of the best countries when it comes to human rights and I still have to put up with this shit. Same here also with the way they speak about their wives... a lot of them are cheaters and just openly speak about it and some even talk about the intimate relationship with their wives in super graphic detail it's disgusting. I sadly can't get away right now. I have to put up with it for 4 years until I have enough money to study towards my aerospace engineering degree. One day I'll be the female boss in a male dominated field and no woman will be treated in such disgusting ways under my watch. Unless I kill myself first lol

I'm definitely rooting for you, it would be awesome to see that! I know those four years will be rough though. I hope you can make it through, do you have a decent support system at the least?

Thank you<3 yes I do have a decent support system. They can't really do anything about the situation but they're there and that's what matters.
