For the unaware: He was a musical artist who died from 2 stab wounds. The death was ruled suicide but it's an open question about if he was murdered.

Knowing what I know from this site stab wound (or cutting) suicides are uncommon. Overwhelmingly it's seen as a non-method.

So I guess I'm wondering how much suicide would've been a possibility in his case. On a statical/technical level, I mean.

It's been said that he made previous attempts, and showed a scar on his chest to someone once.
Still remains a bit of a mystery, especially with the very toxic relationship he was in.

This type of suicide is understandably quite rare (novelist Qiu Miaojin being another example).

I do think the motivation for suicide was there, don't get me wrong. I guess the thing that trips me up is the 2 stab wounds. It's hard to imagine a person stabbing themselves more than once. Especially in an area with vital organs.

How much is known about their relationship anyways?

Also I'll have to read more on the writer you mentioned. Crazy to me that there's more than once famous case like that.

Yeah, the two wounds is a conundrum. I don't know how deep the first one was. The knife wounds on his hands could've been defensive or from just handling the knife in a frenzied state.

There are varying accounts which make it even more difficult to get a definitive picture. I think it's well known their relationship was toxic, you can find accounts online if you search.

It will remain a mystery.
