I've never managed to make myself faint with hyperventilation or by strangling myself, so I am looking for other ways to achieve that. Not alcohol.

Is there something over-the-counter that can do that?

Any reason in particular you want to pass out?

You are aware that you won't pass out from the hyperventilation alone, no?

It's the breath holding afterwards that would make you pass out

Yes, that's why I'm not even gonna bother. I was thinking of taking some strong depressants instead, but not sure which ones will do the job.

I have personally shifted from an SWB method with gas asphyxation to a full-on SCBA setup, because SWB has a lot of variables that one would need to get working correctly, and the risk is severe brain damage/becoming a vegetable..

fainting/passing out is a lot more fleeting than you think. When im pretty anorexic, if i stand up too fast, i end up fainting a few seconds later and coming too after about 10 seconds.
passing out for longer than a minute is hard to achieve unless you have some pretty intense trauma to the head or body.

Didn't Matthew Perry die this way, by passing out under the influence of depressants and drowning? He had no head trauma.

Isn't that stuff guaranteed to give you brain damage?

Serious brain damage occurs in case of regular abuse. Just a few episodes of inducing LOC have little chances of causing significant harm if breathing normal air is resumed immediately each time. Since drowning to death implies damage to the brain anyway, such concerns are only valid when testing the effects of gas asphyxiation without an intention to die straight away.

Would you mind talking about this in a private conversation? There's probably no one else on this forum who is this knowledgeable in this subject.

🤷 i dont actually know who that is. im sure some medications make you more prone to it. but yeah, passing out and immediately inhaling water could absolutely kill you
