I'm on Vraylar and for some reason the 3 mg I'm on isn't helping anymore so I'm wondering if asking my doctor if a higher dose would help or not. Or if I should just stop and try different meds? Has anyone been through this before?

I'm on Risperdal and Klonopin. I have always stayed on the same dose of klonopin and it's worked fine. I have changed doses with the risperdal and found that a higher dose doesn't help. The higher dose for me makes me more tired and doesn't add any benefits.
I'm not familiar with vraylar but a higher dose won't always solve the issue. I would talk with your doctor about it.

Vraylar's an antipsychotic, not that it really matters. They're all bs might as well take sugar pills.

What kind of doctor are you seeing? How long have you been taking it?
Those would be my first two questions.. I have taken a lot of different medications. Vraylar did not work for me. Lamictal + Effexor has worked the best for me. These medications are so trial and error and take time to work, dosaging is also always going to be an issue. (At least for me it has been.)
Your doctor knows best but if you're seeing a family doctor/general practitioner I would advise seeing someone who specalizes in mental health medication.
Edit: Dose changes are pretty normal with these kinds of medications and are to be expected. It's ups and downs and tons of hassle.

Don't go up the dose without your doctor telling you so. If it's not working also tell him or her that, they can switch to a better one.
