Discussion Do you wish to be found?

I've never really had a preference for this. I know some people have strong preference for this. I know my father who died from natural cause was cremated , and spread so that nobody could find him. So I get it.

I myself have a strong preference to not damage my body if I can avoid it. Directive 4 I call it.
Sombody made a good point. I don't want my electronic devices found.

I still live with my parents and I don't want to traumatize them by having them find my body in their house. Having the ambulance arrive at the house and alert all the neighbors, yeah no thanks. I guess the best solution is to have some random motel worker find me instead.

I don't really care whether I will be found or not. I just really don't wanna be found by my family directly, I don't wanna traumatise them.

I think, in my ideal scenario, my family would know for certain that I'm gone, but my body wouldn't be found. i. e. I leave a suicide note that leaves no guessing room before I go, and my death location or method makes it so my body is unrecognizable/unrecoverable.

its complicated. yes and no. yes for my family, especially if my physical form is in good shape, as it can give them more closure possibly instead of it just feeling like i moved away again. but if my body didnt look okay enough then no, maybe they "find" me but i will do my very best they don't see me, or go somewhere and leave in my note where i am, so it's easier on the legal side of things and i am not assumed missing. my dream tho? i wish i didnt have people who cared, so i can be free to be alone, find a peaceful place deep in the woods, and once i CTB nature consumes me. i actually wrote lyrics to a song i never made around it, not sure if i should share here, when i move to my vent thread again i am sharing it now that i remember tho lol
