How many people here "hear voices" or see things others don't ?

After reading case studies of some suicides which were available online, I have observed correlation between suicidal tendencies and auditory or visual hallucinations. It is also confirmed in multiple scientific studies.

Just curious, do you hear voices or do you know of someone who heard voices before they successfully CTBed ?

FYI, it's reportedly true that ten percent of schizophrenics commit suicide.

I'm a schizophrenic. I hear voices when not on meds. They're not inside my head, so to speak, but coming from other rooms/places. In the moment I don't know they're hallucinatory. They discuss me, seldom if ever talking directly to me.

I hear voices alot when I'm trying to sleep, sometimes they freak me out and I jump out of bed but sometimes I just listen to them. I think I have a very mild form of schizophrenia but it's still a bother and I definitely blame some of the voices for making me sad :aw:

What about screaming? very loud screaming? or voices nonstop telling me to do things? Unless maybe its trauma from when my abusive ex used to scream at me.

No it's not normal to hear voices btw Idk what planet you're living on. I'm not sleep deprived either.

I talk to my voices. My husband had them too. Slightly split personalities as well innboth of us. We were both very suicidal, i still am, mostly cuz of real ppl.

On contrary our voices kept us alive, forced us to live and try harder. He didnt ctb, he passed due to illness. I plan to ctb not cause of voices but his death. Voices are just here to tell me how im gonna fail every method tho. In a constructive criticism way.

No. And you won't get a proper estimate if this is a major thing or not since most who don't have this problem will speak up. In fact, the only reason why I am is to ask the following question to the following person. But real quick, I think most who are suicidal have some mental problem at the end of the day. Like for me, I'm autistic. Does being autistic = to me being suicidal. Kinda if you look at it as without being I wouldn't had to deal with people treating me bad both in childhood and I had to deal with workplace bullies a few times (even got fired once for reporting the person). Then to top it of, the normal interview process and other things aren't really frenziedly towards people who are autistic no matter how high functioning or how much training they had.
Like some would see it as I'm suicidal because I have mental problems. But I see it as I'm suicidal because of a mix between super bad luck and a shitty world/system we live in.

My point is, a question and a study can be framed to push an agenda. Like with a study, try to figure out how much data (people that said something) they didn't include, the size of the sample, and the area.

I believe the number 1 cause of people offing themselves relates to money problems/lack of known opportunity.

I'm a schizophrenic. I hear voices when not on meds

Can you control what they say? Is what is being said relate to what is on your mind at the time?

Psychosis != schizophrenia or any schizo-like disorders that fall under the spectrum.

I can't control what they say at all. They seem to have their own narrative, usually coming under the guise of a police or secret service investigation.

if somebody hear or see something which doesn't exist it's schizophrenia and she/he needs to see a psychiatrist . that person may have a happy life after proper medication .

I don't hear voices and when I had a psychosis the voices I heard felt like telepathy or like shared thoughts.

Nope, don't hear voices, although could be a positive thing, give you an awareness of something else

I have due to dissociative identity disorder. It seems like listening to another person's thoughts. Or sometimes overhearing two people conversing. I don't have it now.
