I particularly enjoy tasting chili peppers. I don't understand why, but the sensation of heat makes me feel good. My last purchase was Habanero and Carolina Reaper, and I'm going to plant some of them (I also like to plant them everywhere I go around the country).
What is your unusual hobby?

I have a weird admiration for people who can eat chillies. It looks like torture to me. Even mild to medium heat I find deeply unpleasant. Like I've injested poison. Like- this can't actually be considered food? This is a prank- right? Have you always been ok with spicy food or, have you built up a tolerance?
But no, I can't think of anything all that unusual that I like. My obsession with art was maybe strange to others for how intense it was. I suppose there were one or two exhibitions/ museums I became obsessed with- come to think of it. I put up any memorabilia I could get my hands on over my walls but then, that's probably not all that crazy.

I've always liked hot food, but I always felt bored with the taste, until one day I tried chili sauce at a pizzeria, but I liked it and became addicted to chili peppers, and I started eating more and more hot peppers like malagueta and Habanero, and I bought a handmade Carolina Reaper that I haven't tried yet, it hasn't arrived at my house yet.
I discovered that I had a predisposition to tolerate chili peppers.
I share the same view as Forever Sleep, eating spicy things totally feels like torture!! Everytime i eat spicy food i end up crying, i really hate it.
My unsual hobby is probably cleaning, I have an obsession with keeping things neat and organized! I also love taking pictures of small insects, seeing them up-close is kind of fascinating to me.

That reminded me. I cried at school once to get out of eating curry. Maybe we all have different taste buds. It just felt like an ordeal to me.
That is interesting. Insects are fascinating. Did you have to buy micro lenses etc? I guess phones are getting better at everything now though. Have you got a favourite insect to photograph? I imagine butterfly wings must look incredible up close.
Oh wow Op- a reaper? The name says it all to me! I've seen videos of people trying those insanely hot sweets as a challenge.
I'm afraid I'm intensely prejudiced towards chillies on my own food. Like they're evil little characters that snuck in. Each time I identify one, I'm pleased with myself I wasn't lured in to eating it. Even where it lay though has caught me out before. Maybe I'm overly sensitive to them!
Do other foods just taste really bland without a flavour kick?
For unusual hobbies, I've always had a thing for researching aviation accidents. Not sure why but it's been a special interest of mine since I was a kid, in fact, just earlier I was watching a bunch of plane crash footage because I got bored.
