Beyond your own death, that is. I imagine it's more of a concern for people with children. Although, I think some people do have a kind, vested interest in the future of the species.

I can't say it does really bother me. I simply can't wait to be free of this place. I'm quite happy to leave it to others to sort out the mess and I'm relieved I haven't brought children here myself to potentially suffer.

I dont really care what happens to humanity to be honest. I think we are fucking up our planet, causing sixth mass extinction and such. Global warming, climate change etc

About a year ago, I can honestly say I did care, maybe too much. Since then, I realised people mainly only care about themselves and don't care how their actions impact on others. When I'm gone, I don't see a reason to care anymore. We can only handle so much in a lifetime and if reincarnation really has to happen, let's hope it does not result in a repeat of all this wrongness.

Somewhat. I only care about other innocent people who are suffering so much cus of humanity and wish for humanity to stop so no one like us has to suffer again. Sadly I can't do much about it so I am just going to try my best to not cause more suffering onto people that are already here.

Given that I would be dead (non-sentient) and no longer capable of experiencing or having any say in humanity's future, I couldn't care. However, for the sake of discussion and assuming that I was able to care, I wouldn't. I'd be more apathetic and nihilistic as that is my default state when it comes to things that don't pertain to me. I'm just not the type to be a busybody or look for trouble (unless trouble comes to me usually).

I do and I don't. I have a certain empathy for every living being - we all suffer and go through unfair struggles, and I even feel a slight sense of pity for those who aren't even born yet. But beyond that I wish we would get our shit together as far as stopping all the wars, feeding the world, fighting income inequality, providing proper (and free) healthcare, free education etc. Quality of life elements that when dealt with, might make being here not too bad.

With that said it's such a broad problem set that it's hard to really worry about, especially when it's on behalf of other people. I have enough on my mental plate.

Pollution is such a sin to me.
But a million years after we're gone it won't matter.
And one day she'll be engulfed by the sun.
But what we are doing in our current time, to the environment we need to sustain ourselves, is disgusting.

It worries me that as long as there is life, there will be suffering—an inherent condition of existence that is amplified by human action. As long as there is life, there will be death and pain. That is why I hope more people will reconsider having children, although I respect the individual right to make that choice.

It's never really mattered to me tbh, when I say this to people they look at me like I'm crazy but I don't really think there's anything wrong with the way I think. I still pretend to care about humanity's future just because I'm expected to by everyone around me, but in reality I couldn't give a damn
