from what i've observed in goodbye threads i think you will need something that will work fast to counteract the tachycardia, so i would go for the propanolol that works faster.

L.A propranolol is commonly used in chronic dosing. It shouldn't make a huge difference, but I'd pick common propranolol.Similar threads
