Help Do comments and replies count towards accessing the chatroom and PM?

I want to PM and join the chatroom but I don't really have any reason to post here.

If you don't wanna post that's up to you but that's only way to access the chatroom so there's your reason ") Just reply to everything and post on the music or art threads too that should make it quicker.

Yeah, you need to post a little before being able to do either.

Yes, comments/replies to threads count. But your account also has to be a certain age [not specified] as well, it's not purely post count that unlocks chat and search.
