I've received lab grade that was labelled 96%, while another vendor's lab grade was 99%, so I get the feeling these designations aren't strictly standardized. I hear the "food grade" often contains an anti-clumping agent, which I'm told is ok as long as the percentage is up around 98-99%.
In the Resources Compilation, check out Stan's guide to SN, the SN FAQ, and the SN megathread. I recall this question has definitely been answered in at least one of those sources.
