Didn't die because my knife was way too dull

So after hearing my drunk sister going off on everyone once again. I threaten to slit my throat if I had to hear it one more time, and my sister ended up pushing me over the edge. I grab one of my knifes I use for crafts and tried. Like I pressed it stupid hard against my throat and if it wasn't for the fact it was extremely dull. I would've been dead by now :(

I didn't have much pain to start with. Like where the knife was pressed hard it hurt for about half a day. But not to any extreme.
The one thing that bugs me is I was trying to die in front of my mom. Like she happened to be right there. I never wanted her to see such a thing.

As far as pain from my sister being a complete drunk and I have no choice in dealing with her outside of death or my parents finally kicking her out. Or me going homeless which would mean death since I refuse to have such a horrible life prior and it just ends up leading up to that.

If you want to ctb by the mean of a knife, I suggest buying a new one at a cooking store. I've spend 30€ for mine and it's super sharp !

Sorry you had to endure this. Being pushed like this to CTB impulsively may produce unwanted outcome (like with your mom seeing this), I wish no one ever had to face this kind of situation.
