Wondering what would happen if an individual tied a rope to a bridge, looped a hangman's noose around their neck, tightened it, and jumped.

Any thoughts?

My thought too. Would just have to make sure the rope was strong enough.

I was going to try this on my 1st attempt, until the cops grabbed me. 1) yes to the last post, make darn sure that the rope is strong enough 2) I was going to use the drop method, around 2 meters of rope, less pain and avoid decapitation. But the cops arrived and while 1 talked to me the other sneaked up and grabbed me.

Ahh. Sorry to hear that. 220lb working load rope should do the trick I think. I'm a pretty small individual.
