CTB with SN in another town (USA)

Hi, I live in large tech city in southern states. Would it be ideal to CTB out of town somewhere like a small city so it won't be put on news or written about ? worried about the attention it might gather. They are quick to post on twitter when cops are called when a body is found. Just curious.

That's the total opposite of what you're trying to achieve. A small town doesn't get headlines so a suicide would surely be put on the nightly. Larger city means more stories to keep yours from being displayed.

I was Just trying to avoid anything being said about it in my town , but what you said makes a lot of sense.

Maybe try a heavy crime city far away where your death will be overshadowed by gang violence. Have you thought about carrying I.D. or anything to avoid linking you?

Suicides are usually not as extensively covered for multiple reasons. One is that it's proven to increase suicide rates the more it is reported on, so usually the wording stays vague and most journalists stick to the rule not to mention details on how someone died.
Suicides also don't put the public at risk, opposed to… well, everything else going on right now.

If you are from a small town and they are desperate for stories… yes, possibly. Otherwise you won't be mentioned or it'll completely drown by all the other stories.

I'm sure there'll be another mass shooting soon and nobody will pay attention to a lonely CTBer anyway.

You know what I would do . When you take the sn. Hide the bag under the ground. So they won't find it. Hide the container cup you drink the sn from. That way no evidence goes on the news. If they get you're autopsy it will only be reported to you're family . The information won't be disclose to the public
