No. That's not it. There used to be a guide about how to generally use crypto - like "Crypto for Dummies" (not called that). It went through all the steps to buy and send crypto to someone.
Anyone know if donations via Paypal are possible? I really don't care about anonymity too much. It's not a crime to be suicidal.
Been reading about crypto the past 4 hours. The more I read, the less it makes sense. Gotta buy crypto and pay a fee. Then exchange for another and pay another fee. Then pay another fee to get it processed and sent. Gotta use one site to do this and another to do that, and move from one wallet to another. If you want to donate a specific amount, gotta figure out the exchange rate and add in enough money to make up for fees. Seems about the most convoluted way of moving money I've ever seen. And on top of all that it really isn't even anonymous because you have to supply all your info to the exchange including name, address, phone number, and even a photo of you holding your driver's license in order to comply with KYC laws - Know Your Customer. It's insane.

I can't speak for others, but honestly, after doing all that reading yesterday about crypto, I don't know if it would help me. Even the guide I was looking for is probably a waste of time. From what I read, buying Monero has to start with fiat currency some way, some how. That seems to be where KYC laws come into play. I don't want to use my bank issued debit card for it. I don't have a credit card simply because I don't like them. I just don't see a way to initially inject fiat currency into the crypto system, anonymously, without divulging all kinds of personal information.
