Not sure about others but I'm in different moods with different types of alcohol. But overall, alcohol can bring out certain emotions and bring your attention to them more than usual. Remember to stay hydrated as you're drinking as it helps calm down the effects of alcohol.
Feeling 'drunk'/'tipsy' seems to make my thought processes flow more freely and clearly - like a flood gate has opened. I know inhibitions are reduced, but I feel more 'level' after a few strong beers.
