Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I went to the hospital and I just got tested positive for COVID. The symptoms suck and eating now makes me depressed because I can't taste anything. Wondering if I'm going to just die from COVID or my suicidal urges will kill me first.

I had covid. Your senses of smell and taste will come back in a month or two. You're not going to die from it. Probably 80% of the world has or has had this disease.

Otoh, if you want to die and you start having difficulty breathing, don't go to the hospital. Maybe you will...

You probably won't die, but there's the possibility.

Most people recover the sense of smell in a bit, like op said above.
People that took long to recover were the ones admitted to hospital and intubated.
Even so, cases were rare.

Might sound like a desperate attempt, but I guess in the back of my mind, I was wishing. I'm still hoping to CTB even if it goes away.

I'm sorry you are suffering, the symptoms you are experiencing sound really unpleasant. I think how likely it would be to die from covid would depend on various factors, such as overall health and age, but as the others said it is unlikely. I wish you well.
