I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope you'll be able to keep your cool to get the situation into your own control as soon as possible. Hang in there, we're here for you, sending you all the strength in the world - stay calm
Edit: And I second Stan, have been in trouble with the law enough to know never to admit to anything - just ask if you are obliged to answer their questions, then respectfully decline to do so, you don't even need an explanation - anything that you might contradict at a later time is worth keeping to yourself ('anything you say can and will be used against you')
My dad's a chemist. as soon he saw the label, he told my mother that it was essentially an ingestible form of carbon minoxide. So, we're waitng for the sherriff to arrive; I'm hating every minute of it.

I would say "I'm a very tactile person. One of my latest characters in my novel is a chemist. I needed the materials so that I could feel touch and describe them accurately to my audience. I may also order a few other items as part of my story. I want my book to come off as credible to my audience. I cant wait for my book to be released!"
The last line is a plug to give them the impression that you are forward looking and planning a future. A psych will pick up on that and mark it down as a person who wants to be alive b/c they have positive future plans they are actively implementing.

She writes novels and plenty of people do it to get in character. The simplest answer is often the best.
Why do you think actors often interview the people they are portraying in documentaries? Sometimes they even spend a night on the street watching a homeless person to see how they live.
If you think pretending not to know what it is will work when you're a repeatedly hospitalized suicidal person they will lock you up and throw away the key. And say you are in denial. Good luck!

Actually, I'm rather wealthy. I'm a well-known writer-- not going to disclose my true Identity--but I take care of my parents, bought a house, they live with me. It's not wise to assume someone's predicament.

I'd play "guess the genre" but it's not so fun when it's too be continued.
I do hope you can lambast these people in your next cyberpunk thriller. Like memorize everyone's name and badge number and have them suffer incredibly. If Dante can do it...

I'm sorry to hear about that, and yes the whole situation really sucks. I agree with what others suggested here, by knowing your rights and asserting them where appropriate and not volunteer too much information. Also, if you are sent to the psych ward, I suppose the best you could do is downplay any suicidal ideation and comply with them just enough to minimally satisfy them so that you will be able to get out sooner than usual.
For the future, I would look into other methods and if you are able to have something sent to you, perhaps having it sent to another location, such as an P.O. Box or something? Also, if attempting CTB, I would suggest doing it away from people you know or family in general, this way you have a much smaller chance of being intervened against.

Is a salt and an anti-oxidant that is used to cure meats like ham, bacon and hot dogs. Nitrite serves a vital public health function: it blocks the growth of botulism-causing bacteria and prevents spoilage. Nitrite also gives cured meats their characteristic color and flavor.
I want to learn to cook food like a pro, do you want to try some I preserved in fridge, it's good for your health and I'm not gonna cost you so much .... eh
