Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

You spend decades miserable hating life and wanting out. Then you are 80 and have terminal cancer and al of a sudden your desire to die is rational and makes sense.

It's just because others don't really understand as they are not living our lives. People live under this delusion that things will always improve, they don't want to face the fact that life is not worth living for many. If someone is close to dying from cancer then I guess that others might see the desire to die as being rational as that person will die soon anyway, so dying sooner would prevent more pain. Terminal illness is objectively horrible to people, people have heard about how it affects those suffering with it and they wouldn't want to end up in that situation.

Unfortunately their cards are forced, the human brain arguably will always latch on to optimism where possible. Have physical health but not mental? Then there it is, the minor possibility of improving. Do we all want that fight/battle? (Its never easy) ... not always. It takes a brave person to know when to say enoughs enough imo. If only society would have that mindset.
