• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

TL;DR don't over-reply on these protein powders or shakes. Lots of bullshit from the manufacturers about following FDA, EPA, WHO and/or EFSA guidance, but as the report mentions, those groups don't regulate protein supplements.

The most(?) ridiculous thing about granola hippies/libertarians who support complete free-market capitalism is their utter lack of awareness that companies will literally kill the consumer to make money and lie while doing it. This is straight up why the FDA exists. "Medicine" that was actually just fucking poisons.

They taste nasty anyway.
Some people actually rely on these things to meet nutritional requirements. No need to take a shit on it

Well, I apologise. I have issues with food myself. I wasted hundreds on meal replacement drinks and shakes. I could never find one that I didn't have to choke down.

I wonder what they will do now.

Side rant that doesn't have to do much with this but in my mind it does: you also don't need the 137g of protein which conveniently gets represented as a number FOR EVERYONE, it's inaccurate. Average people who work out only need like 80-100. So because that's extremely achievable, companies might make an arbitrary study that determines you need some number of protein and how do you get that number? oh THE PROTEIN SHAKE! *sold product* money has been transferred into big "whatever the hell fitness industry is" account.

Also for some reason the fitness industry doesn't like teaching people that it's a great idea to improve your body and maintain a certain amount of muscle instead of always going for better, I understand the idea but still, it's taxing both mentally, physically and wallet-ly. I really dislike online fitness culture and companies who push stuff like this to be the norm, TV ads these days trigger me in ways I can't comprehend, haha, I don't have adblockers on my PC because I hate ADs, I have them because the ads give me anger.

And also people who say, but I don't want to half-ass exercise and diet! okay buddy, people would call your today's half-ass a whole ass 60 years ago and they looked just fine and felt just fine. Whatever, I don't even wanna bother anymore.
