• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I know there's threads about accepting death, but… I'm really not ready to go 🥲 but it's like those cringe dazai osamu quotes where it's like "any new attempt at life would only be a final coating to my shame" …

If you're not ready you're not ready. I don't think it's possible to sidestep that. You don't have to believe quotes like that. Everything and anything is possible in life if you want it to be, and if you want to try again, it is certainly possible to do that and to leave shame behind. Please don't feel locked into a path that leads to death because of having false and overly dramatic narratives about life.

I second what @avalokitesvara said, if you are not ready to die you should not force yourself to die. There is nothing shameful about living. The culture of the site may often make it feel like suicide is some kind of accomplishment, but it's not. It should only be done when you genuinely want this and nothing else imo. You should never feel forced to kill yourself. And if it's as inevitable as you say (which it isn't, it is in your control and no one else's), it will happen when you're ready for it to happen, if that day ever comes.

I agree that something like this requires thorough preparation. You shouldn't force yourself to die. It will come when the time comes. If you not ready you're not ready.

I feel much the same way.

Why is it inevitable?

I see my suicide as inevitable, too, should my situation become worse again, although I don't want to die.

It's more a hope for me. I hope I'll have the guts to do it and rescue myself. Weirdly though- I think people who know my history may well say it was a long time coming or- it was inevitable- once I'm gone.
