I want to be reborn as someone better , with a better mind, body, family and life.
I daydream most of my waking time about being someone else that I can never be ?
What are your thoughts? Do you want to be reborn?
This reminds me of the hedonic treadmill.
Let's assume you are reborn as somebody "better". Then you die again, being that "better" person. What happens next? Do you reincarnate again? Or does it stop there Do you want to reborn as somebody even better? Could this continue infinitely? Would you be reborn on Earth? As somebody new, or could it be in another time of history? What is humans or all life dies out? Is there infinite timelines generates so that isn't ever an issue?
I daydream too. Putting in effort for a chance of something happening isn't worth it.
I'd never want to be reborn, I'd rather just stop existing. I'd rather avoid all the suffering once and for all.
All theories about reincarnation rely on memories being lost so it can remain unprovable rather than fully debunked. (Minus reports of people totally remembering their past lives just nothing actually useful that are definitely scientifically reliable and absolutely not clickbait.)
If it's just a reset of this existence, I'll pass. If I could go back with the headstart of the lessons I've learned, then maybe.
I've seen an interesting one on this forum. Maybe we are on "Earth 1". Maybe there is reincarnation, but this is the "first phase", "first planet", "first version". Then after death something happens and we remember everything. Since this is the first stage, we don't remember anything yet.
