Can I take SN while being at home

I read that in the SN method there are noises that one makes once unconscious? I would like to know if theres a way to make it home. I live with other people. Will they find me? I cannot rent a hotel room right now. But I also can't risk to fail so I just want insight , is it doable to do it at home where there is other people or is it better that I wait until I can go to a hotel room? I am desperate to end it but I don't wanna be impulsive.

I'd say it's possible to ingest it deep into the night when everybody is asleep, but still you risk attracting attention with sounds of vomiting which can happen. Death rattle afterwards would probably be taken for snoring.

If I do it during the day and put music will it still be very risky? Maybe?

Doing it in any circumstances where the probability of someone interfering is a bad idea. Music may or may not mask the sounds of vomiting and I think anybody in the right mindset would be keen on investigating if they heard sounds of obvious sickness. It may take up to 4 hours for an individual to die from hypoxia so the window is pretty wide. If you're looking for a suicidal gesture there are different methods that don't put you at risk of getting caught. If you cannot afford proper environment to complete suicide I would simply wait for a better opportunity and use that time to think over whether this course of action is appropriate.

I'm not sure what the best option is, but I also have SN and plan on taking it outdoors - in a forest or a meadow, where no one may find me.

I wouldn´t do it at home. You never know how long it really takes to die and if someone suddenly comes home and finds you. You don´t wanna end up in psych. ward, right ? Better find a place where nobody can disturb you.

If you have your own room, tell your roommates you're going to sleep and don't disturb you(lock the door). If you share a room then don't do it.

I personally would not take SN at home if you live with other people as the risk is high you will get disturbed. There may be sounds of vomiting, breathing and sounds and movements that are involuntary when you are dying in your last moments called the death rattle. This may alert someone to call an ambulance.

If you are sure there will be no disturbance for 4 hours and that you can play music to mask the noises from your room maybe that is an option.

I know you might feel anxious but when you are desperate and impulsive that is when mistakes are made and survival instinct kicks in, you may end up in a worse position if caught such as in a mental hospital or if you fail then people may be monitoring a lot in the future as they know you have tried to kill yourself especially family.

Agree with others.
If you can't find a 4 hr window to be alone it's better to wait and go to a hotel.

Remember: people don't just vomit but also fall down or accidentally smash things when they lose consciousness. Obviously you could plan for that by laying in bed, not walking around etc.
But even if you fell off your bed, a roommate would probably check in on you. And as soon as you can't answer or your speech is slurred they would call for help.

Doing it at night is also not a guarantee because sounds that during the day are noticeable are even louder at night. Especially when everything else is quiet a thump or clunk is much more noticeable.

The user @crystalskies31 that recently passed was extremely worried about getting caught at the hotel they were at. They were worried about noise and getting caught etc. I was chatting with them until there last moments.

I think it would be even worse at home as more people are likely to disturb you so i would seriously reconsider.

I have been isolated for several months. I live with family members. They don't see me get out for nothing so they would suspect if I leave for a period of time. As for the hotel I would have to see how I can find the money (probably I can take out a credit card for it). I will wait instead. But I get so desesperate sometimes I have ptsd so those flashbacks really end me. But I have to try my best not to be impulsive

I see PTSD is a terrible thing and you are worried about your family questioning where you are going. Most of the people that are successful need to be as calm as possible as you do need to do a bit of planning to finally do the deed.

Do you leave the house for groceries? work? meet friends? anything? You could make up a reason you will be away for the whole day.

Because it will be very hard to do it if you are being monitored by your family.

There must be a way you can try and plan this if you are determined?

I think I can make an excuse for justifying my absense from home. It will just require me some time. Which sometimes I feel like I can't anymore. But I have no choice. Can't afford the psych ward or losing the little SN i have. This is so sad.

He estado aislado durante varios meses. Vivo con familiares. No me ven salir por nada así que sospecharían si me voy por un período de tiempo. En cuanto al hotel, tendría que ver cómo puedo encontrar el dinero (probablemente pueda sacar una tarjeta de crédito para ello). Esperaré en su lugar. Pero a veces me desespero tanto que tengo trastorno de estrés postraumático, así que esos flashbacks realmente acaban conmigo. Pero tengo que hacer mi mejor esfuerzo para no ser impulsivo

haven't you considered outdoors? a forest? I also first considered paying for a hotel with a credit card but I think I'm more inclined to a place with trees. you need to be calm and think about everything

Try not to worry, give yourself all the time you need. You are in charge of your destiny. It is important to have a clear head when planning things.
