Belt hanging

I guess i might be a bit of an idiot, but I'm so confused about how does one hang themselves with a belt. I know the buckle part goes around the neck, but what about the other end? How do I tie it to an anchor point? It's not like I can make a knot with a sturdy enough belt to support my weight

Any resources or photos would be much appreciated

all I know is robin williams used a belt. Maybe a super thin belt with a small buckle?

I'm not entirely certain either, but I assume it's more common to use belts when doing partial suspension, so maybe the knots do not have to support the entire body weight?

The fact he used a belt and was seated in a chair, really makes no sense. Seems like an impossible method.
