Venting Being suicidal has made me stop being afraid of cancer

I used to scared to death of cancer, trying to be healthy and avoid anything such as alcohol and even bacon and sugar in order to avoid cancer. Any symptom of illness I had made me afraid it could be or lead to cancer. I freaked out when reading about something I had been exposed to a lot could increase risk of cancer.

Now I don't care, I even welcome it. If I get cancer it's another reason to ctb, or I would refuse treatment and ask for palliative care if possible and just die. The only problem is that my family would beg me to undergo any of these harsh destructive cancer treatments. Fuck no!

Same. I keep getting fantasies of going for a check up and the doctor saying Oops seems you have inoperable stage 4 cancer, very terminal, not worth trying chemo or anything, sorry to inform you you have a socially acceptable excuse to die oops anyway here is a free ticket to Switzerland

Interestingly, cancer is one of the reasons you can get a dignified death. That would be nice. If I could get cancer and then go to Dignitas for euthanasia then I would be all up for it. However. Cancer means money for hospitals, insurance policies, et cetera.I'm not spending all the money I saved up working a dead end job all my life on treating cancer.fk that shit.

We all had the same exact thought lol.

Ditto. I'd let it go terminal as well. Chemo sucks ass. Then off to Switzerland.
