Beachy Head Landing Zone

I know, I know, Beachy Head again... I just don't think anyone's mentioned the potential of different landing surfaces? Would it matter from 300ft plus whether you hit shingle? There seem to be patches of shingle and patches of rocks and I don't know how stable these areas are. And I'd rather know in advance than have to look down and try and pick a point on the day. Here is a pic that I think shows what I mean (the cliffs in this area are 300-350ft high):

Most of the cliff is high enough to kill you outright. It wouldn't matter if you landed on the stones, the rocks, a high tide etc.

the Cliff in split into geographic sections for search and rescue.

anywhere near either of the lighthouses is fatal.
if entering from the top rather than the B gap, get passed the pub and passed the south downs as that is the iffy area where you could fall through a crack or land on a ledge.

there is a spot where the edge of the cliff has parted slightly, avoid that or you will be sucking rocks until your found.

A man and his two kids died down by the B gap. Thats much lower than the "head" itself but still fatal. A girl ran off by the on land light house Bell Tout and died as it is a sheer drop (accidentally)
again the Bell Tout is lower than the Head itself.

If you were to go in, going in from the top, ignore the bus layby, the next layby and the one after are the highest points. They would be on your left. They now have names and if I remember rightly the 2nd is called z bends and is on the sharp bend that is right beside lighthouse point (the sea lighthouse)

google earth it and you'll see What I mean.

you need to remember that it is an almost flat face cliff of an extraordinary height. You can't grasp the height until you see it... it's truly breathtaking and feels like the edge of the World.

This is lighthouse point from the west & east, look at how small the people look on top and the sheer cut of the point face. That is a very large area to "take a look" its a about 30mins to walk from the layby, up to the edge, up and down this particular area.
