Basically is there is any conflict in a group that I'm in it's my fault. Whatever the real cause. My autism isn't actually that bad. I understand more social norms that a regular autistic person and I'm way less rigid. If I make a very slight mistake it's always exaggerated but when somebody doesn't give a fuck at all about my boundaries I should just forgive them.

Example - I'm studying at a uni with low entry requirements. Last year I ended in a new group. Some people are fine but some just want to stir chaos for fun. You know, narcissists. They aren't even good students. So they started kinda bullying me and it escalated. They weren't allowing me to be able to study. I'm not a saint but I wasn't a bitch to them. It escalated. Obviously it was all their fault. So the uni workers reacted and made them stop bullying me. Problem solved? No. Because I'm autistic they sent me to a uni counsellor. Just because I'm autistic. From what I know the bullies weren't forced to go. Yes because my behaviour is problematic. Well at least they didn't control what I talked about with that guy. We didn't talk about uni much. He was allegedly a psychologist and he made fun of my eating problems.

People say autism isn't the end of the world but it is.

Not really, dear. Bullies are the end of the world and they will try and take advantage of every single one that crosses them paths.

Yeah that's what I mean. Bullies don't havve "bad" labels such as "autistic" or "poor" so they are automatically considered to be good guys.

Well observed. While a fat, short, autistic, poor or naive person is automatically labeled by showing/having any of those characteristics(or even others I didn't mention there for the sake of brevity), bullies are just considered bullies if caught right at the moment of bullying someone else. Aside of that circunstance, they are seem as good guys, regular guys at least, not bullies.

I'm sorry to hear what you've been thru. Those humans sound disgusting. They should get counselling ,too ,in my opinion. It's sad that just because someones autistic or whatever and people can be either super nice ,mean or like this talking to you as if you're dumb and don't understand shit. Also ,you said that autism is the end of the world ,i am curious as to what makes you think that. I'm also autistic and it's one of my main reasons why i dont wanna be here.

Because my possibilities are limited because of my autism. If something requires social skill I'm instantly declined even when the social skill requirements are low. I don't wanna give out too much details but there was some little project that involved talking to a group of people. It was very simple but I was declined because I'd for sure say something stupid and ruin the project. That's just one example. Or when I can't use an opportunity because I don't see it. I don't see I should befriend someone because they will help me out.

Very relatable . I try to talk to others and sometimes some people that also have autism they re not always the nicest ,it sucks. I don't know what I'm doing wrong at this point. But i can relate to what you wrote.

Anyone that tells you that there is a place for any form of neurodiversity in human society is lying to you.

Why does the individuals with disabilities education act not apply to post secondary education?

What support is there for an autistic adult once their parents die?

I am not autistic. but many of my idiosyncrasies/behaviours end up with me being labeled and treated as such, so I feel a great deal of sympathy for those that are.

Bullying does not end upon high school graduation, it just becomes impossible to effectively police in the uncontrolled environment that is the adult world.

Thanks for sympathy. Thankfully my autism is light so I don't need much support I mostly need neurotipicals to fucking not disturb me. To not isolate me to just give me a chance.

Naaah nobody polices that at school either lol. Well it depends on how lucky you are. Sometimes a teacher defended me. Other times they "didn't see".
Thankfully I wasn't bullied very hard by students (most of the time) so I could endure this.

You know bullies are usually sad and lonely people. They mostly doesn't receive attention and love from home and they go to school and form these clicks so they can fix in somewhere.

I'm really sorry that happened to you, you didn't deserve that. That counselor should have been more professional and helpful when you went to see him.

Honestly i think humans don't realise or forget that the autistic kid grows up into an adult so naturally there's lesser support places ,unfortunately..

Thanks <3 Yeah I realize bullies are stupid. Main problem is they are considered to be fundamentally better than me because they don't have autism. Even by the profs. Even though they study was less they are considered to be better students than me.

Tbh before I was diagnosed I had never heard of an autistic adult or even a teenager.

Just an idea for you. Maybe you can create a space where you can share your journey and help educate people what autism is and how it effects you. I think education and awareness is important. People fear what they don't understand. I personally don't know much about autism and the struggles you have to face. Maybe you can start here and help us understand. I would love to learn, if you're willing to share.

It's like when you're walking in a store and see someone in a wheelchair, one would open the door out of courtesy and respect. I was once told by someone not to do that if they didn't ask. They said it's offensive. That's how I see different issues people face, I never know what to say or how to help or if they even need help.

It's closer to racism than not understanding wheelchair users in my opinion. When you have an actual racist you cannot just invite him to a black people meeting and talk them out of racism. It's not like they don't understand how I'm disabled. They think I'm fundamentally worse and less than a human. I'd have to prove to them I'm an actual human and idk how to do it.
Thanks for the advice nevertheless.

The end goal of autism treatment seems to be getting through high school (that was my experience with special education at). It is setting people up for failure, is it not? School is very different than anything the real world has to offer.

I do not mean to make it sound like I have an alternative solution. There is no good solution to anything really, just "less bad" ones.

I just found out that my cmht cpn has contacted my gp and told them whoever has possessed me etc and everything y that is going on is my autism.

How the fk? But yea. One label and they just use that. It's the same with my ed. It's always that.

Fucking sick. This is not my autism. I think they're playing tricks on me so I will agree with them

Argh, I forgot to type "least" in the sentence "that was my experience with special education at least". How frustrating.
