Just watched this movie and I actually enjoyed it. They style was really interesting and I actually think it portrayed mental illness fairly well, at least better than most media. I was wondering if anyone here has seen it and what are your thoughts?

Speaking of movies, there is a short (about 15:00), suicide themed, two actor one called Black Swell on Youtube. I really think some here would like it. I did.

In Black Swell.,I think both men are going to ctb because, at least in large part, of their failed marriages. Note the middle aged guy tells the the younger guy, his former student, to get out of his room when he starts to discuss his own failed marriage.
I just watched it today, was curious after I saw it mentioned in another thread.
It wasn't a bad movie, and they treated the topics fairly well and with respect, but I will admit I personally had a tougher time relating to the main character's suicidality.
I'd really love to watch/ read something about suicide that doesn't feature the topic as a 'teen sadness' kind of way. (Not saying that those movies are bad, I'd just like to see something to relate to as a person in their late 20's. ^^)

I totally get where you're coming from and I feel similar as well. I would love to see a movie that treats the topics with respect but with an older, more relatable character. But I really appreciated what this movie was able to do within its focus. I've yet to see another movie that is critical of how most people view mental health/suicide for example how they always say things like "it's a permanent solution to a temporary problem". Yes it certainly could've said more, but it was more than I'd seen anywhere else.
