I had a real bad xanax addiction many years ago, I managed to get through it (one of the hardest things I've ever done) and I have no desire to ever touch the stuff again. It's incredibly difficult but it is definitely possible
So, the withdrawal is not "coming off the drug." There is something called post acute withdrawal syndrome that lasts years and has a myriad of physical symptoms. That is one of my illnesses

Yes I'm reducing the dose of my benzo. So far so good. Easier than I thought. Just keep your mind busy!

I call at a benzo brain injury. Evil drugs. Not sure I'm going to live long enough to see it get better

I'm already off for years. That's not the problem. The problem is I still have symptoms and they're getting worse

Took me about 3 months., was taking 3 gr alprazolam daily, lockdown arrived in march in my country and I became agoraphobic , so I had to stop cold turkey. The first month and a half was a bit rough.
