• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

How do you cope with being a student and suicidal? It makes me very little productive. Any tips? Besides planning my CBT as soon as possible so nothing will matter anyway?

I'm now a former nursing student who failed recently 2 days ago. I've only failed because I'd have to interact and care the patients, which I'm terrible at. I've done fairly well with theory, though.

I've been recently prescribed with sertraline. It makes me a bit less suicidal and anxious, but I still made my decision to CTB in the near future, lol. With sertraline, drowsiness is minimal compared to other medications like ativan. I highly recommend sertraline.

i'm in the same boat. i try to force myself to study 20 minutes at a time because it seems easier than when it's a longer period of time. Also, caffeine.

I can't help you there, I'm incapacitated as well.
I'm surprised I can even fall into phases of churning out comments on here.

I'm talking out of my ass here, because I'm a master procrastinator, but you know, I try to follow these.

Healthy or not, I'm going to second caffiene. I also recommend writing down a time you're going to study on paper or in your notes. Then when the time comes, sit down with your material and set a five minute timer. Gradually increase the amount, but by completing x time, it can add a sense of accomplishment. It doesn't always work, but sometimes the problem is just starting. Another thing I've learned is have a reward in mind. For example, if you study for 15-30 minutes, then you can do something you enjoy for 15-30 minutes later.

Absolutely. Yes it's really hard. I have no tips and I don't like giving tips usually anyway. I just want to voice my agreement that yea it's miraculous to me if someone in a suicide mode of thinking can get through any amount of schoolwork, it's already hard drudgery if you're in a state of loving life, so it's unimaginably worse when you're in the pits.
