Any other fans of Serial Experiments Lain?

It is hands down my favourite anime ever and ive been a long time fan of it
I like how the story leaves you with a lot to think about and leaves it to you to piece together the deeper implications and themes of it all and some of the scenes are just so capturing and immersive, perfect examples of show don't tell.
I haven't ever seen another anime that captured me like that

Yeah it definitely hit the spot with a lot of people myself included I'd love to see more animes in that same sort of abstract style but I think its hard to replicate

If you really like Serial Experiments Lain, I really recommend that you watch Steins;Gate! If you like government conspiracies, time travel, and horror! :)

Asking chronically online anime pfps on a suicide forum if any of them like Lain is like asking a group of anime-watching IRLs if any of them like HxH or Jujutsu Kaisen. I like it too, but that is just to say, you'll probably find fans of that anime all over this forum.

I dropped this anime after the first episode and a friend recommended me to watch till the 3rd. I'm happy I did. 3rd episode is when shit gets real.There are multiple shows in the series though. I'm talking about Puella Magi Madoka Magica.

Same thing for Ergo proxy.Things literally take off in the 3rd episode.lol
