Some people nuke their search history or device info before CTB out of worry someone will find this site (I've seen this listed as a reason once or twice, at least) but it's debatable how much this actually helps.

Your storage drive on your phone is like a book with a table of contents and info written in it. factory resetting is like erasing the table of contents of the book. If anyone opens it at a glance it'll look empty. However, if someone actually flips through the pages they'll find out all the information. Actually erasing the pages takes time however it's much harder to find the info. If someone really wants to look for the info they'll find the indents left by "the pencil". Those have to be erased by repeatedly scribbling and erasing.
My question to you is how in depth will someone search your phone for info? A glance at the table of contents? Flipping through every page? Or looking at each page closely for clues? Each of these methods is more expensive than the last.
IMO sometimes it's easier to burn the book or hide it. If you wanna destroy the drive then google a schematic of your phone model and open it up or make an educated guess where the drive is. Then either shoot the drive or hammer a spike into it. Or just bury the phone in a forest.
