I envy them so much, not only that they live in a developed first world country, but also have access to fireguns, meanwhile I'm stuck in a third world hellhole where escape is impossible, not only other countries are making immigration stricter but firearms are also banned, it's like I'm made to suffer in this hole and watch my life be wasted.
What country do you live in?

Honestly makes me feel guilty to be suicidal when I'm in Canada, final year uni student and people would be willing to live the life I want to throw away

I'm in Tunisia.
And no need to compare, some people may have it harder but it doesn't invalidate your pain

If I had an access to a gun i would probably have already died 12 years ago
Because I have waves of very violent emotions facing inwards
And I guess that bought my family some peace be it temporarily

Because as previously stated, it is revealed in the mandatory background check. Can't buy a gun legally unless you pass it. If you've had an involuntary psych hold, you cannot legally buy a gun ever (or ever again). If it was voluntary, then only five years.
I was in voluntarily less than 2 years ago and it didn't even come up.

It depends on the state. In some states it's quite difficult. In my state it's very easy. I could just walk into a store and walk out with a gun. My guess is that there would be some kind of instant background check to make sure I don't have a criminal record. (I've never bought a gun, so I don't know for sure.) If I ever needed to CTB, my fear of using that method would be:
1. Not aiming right and ended up disabled
2. Not aiming right and suffering and enduring a lot of pain before I passed away

they can be super expensive + the ammo… and in certain states im p sure you have to have a license or something.

Life would be so much easier ,even for people like us, if we knew we always had a rapid, relatively painless exit method at hand

That's what I always think as well. Personally, it would work fantastically as a "placebo" to keep going for a while, knowing in the back of my mind that you can go quickly and efficiently at any moment.

Easy to buy a gun in the state I live in. I have 4 at home. I may also have some unregistered guns stashed around.

I need to make the purchase. I'm having trouble going in. Ideally Friday. I don't know if I can. I'm lucky that it's also a range. Can get a lesson on it.
It's wholly unnatural. It's taking a life. But it needs to be done.
Every day is hell. I have a particularly difficult week ahead. Would love to take Friday off, get this effing gun, then do this unholy act that solves so many problems. So many won't understand. I've never owned a gun. Even laying here, suffering insomnia and acute mental pain, I get nervous just thinking about the purchase.
Maybe it's the same for others. SI to blame I'm sure

I've thought about how different my life would have turned out had I have been born and raised in the United States. I imagine I would have CTB'd a long time ago. Like, nearly a whole decade ago.

People in the US have their own problems, though. And each place has its own pros and cons. For example, SN is very easily and cheaply available in many third world countries.

I envy you for that, you can just go to your local Walmart, buy a gun and end your life. I've been trying to find the right hanging method for a while now, PSH in closet didn't work. Settled on FSH using a door but I just learned it's unlikely to work despite seeing vids of such, now I'm back to PSH ,this time I'm thinking that kneeling may do the difference but I don't want to fuck up and be brain dead either.

A firearm would be so much simpler. Although I've seen several vids of people blowing their face off with a shotgun and surviving despite that, that's a much worse date than being brain-dead imo
I live in a fuckass democrat ran state so they did everything they are doing everything they can make it hard to own a gun I envy those living in moderate to conservative states with more lax regulations

I'm in the same situation.... the first time I walked into the gun shop which also has a range I was literally shaking. I need to go back and finalize the purchase. But I just can't obtain the courage to do so yet

Did you look at any in particular? I looked at Glock g17, but then a user here recommended Springfield xd-m as maybe more friendly to a novice. But either way I get an upset stomach just considering it.

Where I live (New Kersey) it's very difficult to. Laws differer from state to state, but most of them can get one fairly easily.

Me too ,jealous
