• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Looking for alternatives to cutting! I just feel like it makes too much of a mess and the scars take too long to disappear. Anyways need the pain cause pain makes the pain go away!

(I mean it's not actual suicide method discussion - more of selfharm methods - but I'm not 100% sure if this is allowed in here... If it is I'll gladly take it down...)

Someone suggested to you on your other thread to try very hot peppers.

Yeah! That's what got me to post this... maybe more people have interesting ideas like that one... I had never heard of peppers as a means to selfharm.

Peppers is interesting, I'd never heard of that. I have heard of salt and lemons on shallow cuts though.

You are pretty lucky if the scars actually leave, like if it is just scratch sure it will leave but the deeper it will be the more you can forget about it leaving, I had a few that are 15 years old and they still haven't left which I highly doubt they will.

For when I started to want to stop it I was just trying to find things that will occupy my mind which could be going out, listening to music, ugly crying, eating (but eh I'm the type to eat my feelings away) writing or whatever I have an interest to but the main thing was to get my mind off of it and redirecting my attention to something else and it did work I stopped self harming myself for about 4 years but of course the relapse was far too easy than stopping but for my case the relapse was just due to major triggers, excessive drinking and a lack of controlling my emotions due to triggers.

The only advice I can give it's to learn to control your emotions once you can master that then you will be able to stop, the only reason for you to stop is yourself, having someone to make you stop or depending on someone (aka your love/affection for them/promising) is pure bullshit and don't work for the majority.

If self harm is helpful to curb your urge to CTB, you want something lighter than cutting and you're not ready to stop self harming (which obviously is ideal), let me suggest this: a tight rubber band on the arm. Pull it back... let it go. Ouch. Marks don't last long.
