Venting Alone on NYE

Everyone my age is going out, being with friends and having a good time. I am alone in my shitty little apartment. I feel like the biggest loser on the planet. Yes I know that's over dramatic. I am just sad and embarrassed. I have 0 friends. I am just alone here with my cat. The ball will drop and I just wish I had someone with me to say happy new year and give me a hug. Is that too much to want?

I feel the same... although, I did go to one New Year's Eve party at a friend's house back in my 20s... it was a kind of disappointing party, and I say that as someone who doesn't like the idea of parties anyway.

So... it's possible even the people at parties with other people aren't feeling it any more than any of us are tonight.
