Venting After a decade, my childhood cat died.

I saw it coming. He became really, really skinny and really, really weak. Even so, I didn't think it'd be so soon.

The last time I saw him alive was a day before he died and he was rubbing up against my hand, but he didn't meow. I don't think he could.

I feel like I'm being punished by God. This year has been filled with nothing, but loss for me.

Whatever. Rest in peace, Dimy.

Yup, thats cycle of life, sadly. Everything and everyone dies. Did he live good life? May I ask, how old he was when he died?

I am so sorry for your loss....i am sure he must have received a lot of love from you...life is so hard. Earlier this year i also lost a four-legged companion....i really know what it's like, we are never truly prepared for the departure of someone we love even though there may be clear signs of this.

Honestly, I'm not sure how old he was. He was a kitten when we got him and we had him for as long as I can remember, so I estimate a decade. Maybe a little over a decade? Once again, I'm not sure.
Regardless, I hope he lived a good life. I think so, but I don't know. I feel like life could've been better, but this could be guilt.
