ב''ה,
Possibly goofing around at least with the 'Method' tag, but seriously, as far as legalization,
In jurisdictions that do permit abortion, and note that that kind of conventional "Pro Life" thinking is rooted in Chr_stian confusion that 'sending souls to purgatory' makes extra work for G-d when it really just births more serfs for the pope, and anti-Semiticly parodies the actual problem in Judaism where improper burial custom is discourteous for making the resurrection have to be more miraculous,
Surely if the mother is deserving of abortion the fetus brought to term is equally deserving and eventually should be of age to consent to the same autonomy as the mother.
Thus a sworn statement that, at the time of conception or birth the patient believes the mother did not intend them to suffer might be enough womens' empowerment for a 'progressive' judge to allow the age of majority 'late term abortion' the euthanasia industry has always joked about.
Thereafter, if a parent contests the patient's sworn statement it's de minimis because the 'fetus' is past the age of majority and had their 1A right to make it and any notional legal injury to the parent of an adult doesn't override the adult's medical autonomy.
Could actually fly as far as legally recognizing it's the same procedure, the sworn statement is over the top but placates the whole feminist logic of maternal authority over life and death while neatly wrapping up the logic that it is conceptually the same medical procedure.
And worth it just to see even one parent make the "Pro Suffering" argument, as might reform the whole conception of personal choice to no longer participate in the worldly mess.
