A Thought

I question if love resides within the hearts of humans. I've only seen transactional intent veiled by hollow motions of affection. People seemingly only going out of their way if they stand to have something to gain from their fellow man. I find once I cease to possess utility in relation to their ends I in turn cease to exist before their eyes. People only seek me out when they desire something out of me. Or perhaps this is what love is. Fickle, fleeting in nature.

Regardless, i am at peace with myself. I have another couple decades in me to go maximum, then I'll spell a suitable conclusion to this little ¨dream¨ of mine. For now, a keen fascination for nature and her dormant potential is what keeps me going. Staying single, staying simple. No obligations, free man. That's the plan. And if all goes well ill save enough to get lost somewhere. Mabey then ill feel like a child once more.
