A Facebook group wants to stop Sanctioned Suicide

On Facebook there is a private group, STOPSanctionedSuicide, dedicated to the victims of this website, they claim and this group wants to stop Sanctioned Suicide. Do you agree? Will the society never stop denying death? How can they stop it? Man should have the right to decide when and how he or she are going to die.

While some have family and friends that are excepting of their fate. There will always be the group that doesn't except it because they're drowning themselves in their own pain and heartache of what they've lost and unwilling to accept that their loved one is no longer suffering.
I think some are also acting out of guilt, whether justified or not, depending on their loved ones situation. They feel guilty for not helping when they could or not being as good to their loved one as they should have been so they are misplacing blame on this website and channeling that guilt into trying to get this site banned so that they can feel good about themselves again.
As we continue to fight for our right to a peaceful exit at the time of our choosing, the opposing side will continue to fight back and I think its because this is how it's been for so long and their inability to accept change regardless of who suffers. In addition, laziness and fear, laziness in the sense that instead of taking time to build a structure that's sutible, it's easier just to say no. Fear of having to acknowledge how many people would take the route of a peaceful death, I mean it would threaten everyone's idea that life is so fucking great and force them to stop and actually look at how shitty life is and continues to get and ultimately point out how miserably we as humanity are failing and where we need to change.
It would take a lot of acceptance and change and there are some very powerful entities that benefit from the way things are now that they do and will continue to be an obstacle no matter how much it interferes with our rights.

If method information was taken away it would just make people more desperate and they would end up failing methods and getting damage.

Censoring all suicide talk would just make people more isolated. Taking away this website would not prevent suicide at all, the only way to prevent suicide is for society to focus on what causes people to be suicidal in the first place. The truth is, that life is pointless suffering, and we all deserve the option of a peaceful exit. Nobody asked to exist. In many cases wanting to escape a life not worth living is perfectly rational. Society should let us die in peace.

People on this website should respect peoples decisions whether they should choose to die or live, but reality is that people do not - there are people here who have nothing to do. Without this website people would be more isolated, but the politicians have already taken away all the peaceful and lethal methods - and that is the worst isolation!

This site is pro choice. It offers accurate information for those that wish to end their life so they can make a better informed decision and one that will keep them from harming others in the process and prevent them from causing harm that doesn't lead to death to themselves. To me, from what I see, this site truly offers more than that. I consider all of what I said at the bottom of the list of what this site truly offers.

So, what does this site primarily offer above all else? Empathy, relatability, friendship, open mindedness, listening, an escape, emotional support, friendship and I can go on and on. I think that is what this site offers and what should be focused on. This is where others could learn from.

In the end this website has probably saved many lives that would had otherwise ended. It has improved the quality of life for some. It has help some to recover. For those that did ultimately decide to end their lives, which would had happened regardless of this site, I am sure that end was far more pleasant than it would had been had this site not existed.

People are committing suicide, that is a simple fact. A place like SS allows discussion that cannot even exist in the "real world".

I am deeply convinced that someone desperate enough to die will do it anyway, regardless the method. But because society does not accept the suicide as a fact, most of suicidal people endure horrible death whereas peaceful ways out exist.

Enemies of CTB are radical fanatics, either due to fanatic religious believes or because they believe, their own family members are not permitted to CTB, because it will harm them. It's about them and not about the family member, who is suffering under pain.

"Why do you leave us alone?" they think.

The emphasis is on "us".

And if the family member survive, it will be as living behind bars. Every step, every move will be monitored, every word twisted, everything will be controlled, so that the person must suffer even more than before.
