World is irrelevant. Only those under my protection/in my care matter. If they are gone because of the world end or otherwise, i'm gone too.

I imagine it's even harder to kill yourself as a zombie. Imagine the method resource section for a zombie friendly sanctioned suicide? Flame throwers, vats of acid. I'd want out before the chaos. Impeding apocalypse would make me bring my plan forward I think.
