Traditional anarchist principles are critical for a healthy democratic society. It needs to be resurrected in modern politics because socialism as an ideaology is being high-jacked by center-left capitalist. The markets are the greatest enemy of humanity, and unless it's fundamentally opposed, we can't eradicate the roots of capitalism and move on to a better society.
Crimethinc.com and akpress.org might be a good place to start for neophytes.I think its a lovely idea that will never happen. I try to apply it to my own life by volunteering, not eating meat etc but the blunt truth is most people love hierarchy because as long as they can get higher up than another they think its worth it.
