Yes pills and shock treatment and hospitalizations don't treat depression, because the causes of depression are financial problems, and not close enough positive connections to other people- family, friends, and a relationship- people who treat you in a caring waay daily, throughout the day. These treatments do nothing to solve these causes.

I think that wanting suicide can be a rational response to seeing existence for what it really is. Nothing could ever make me not suicidal, life is just endless suffering which is not desirable at all. I understand desperately not wanting to fail ctb, I find it horrifying how ctb methods can go wrong. Those who are gone from this world are very lucky.

Same here tried all and only ECT worked a little bit but the effect wasn't permanent. Psychiatry sucks.
