So I just found out there is a welding shop in my town! I can't believe it! Now I can do the exit bag method without too much trouble!

There is a welding shop so I can purchase nitrogen or (I think )argon gas for the method. I just need proper measurements which I am making note of the information in the Mega thread and the PPeH :)

please keep us updated. I didn't know welding shops sell gas. Exit bag is an interesting method.

I bought my 40cft nitrogen cylinder to displace oxygen with nitrogen in stored food containers.. Keeps it fresh. YouTube has a video about it.
Nitrogen goes in food storage containers to keep it fresh longer. That's what some people do with nitrogen at home.Last edited:

Oh that's cool! Okay as soon as I purchase the Nitrogen I plan to go to harbor Freight for the regulator. And I'll hot up kroger/Walmart for the bag supplies.. I should have everything within the week.. but I also contacted someone for N over the weekend just in case. I'm going to price everything Monday and see which is more cost effective.

Update: I'm balancing my funds to purchase the Nitrogen for 225.00$ and my Regulator from Harbor Freight for about 100.00$.
N will be a pricier option at about double the Gas method and I'll update once I purchase all the supplies.

Yup but they offer nitrogen for like.... 500$ I found another place not far from here that offers it for a better price.
