I found an abandoned building in the city I want to commit in and it's 197ft tall based on what I've found online. I don't know if I should be looking for a taller building or if this would be fine. I've seen people who replied to other similar posts say they've heard of people surviving 200ft so I figured I should check what the actual probabilities are.

I'd say most successful jumps depend on how you land. I'm not sure that's entirely in your control.

197 ft is 20 floors of a building. 10 stories is the "minimum" a person might consider for CTB since 8 or 7 stories is not likely to work. I understand that you should fall on your back.

It seems to me that a height of 197 feet is sufficient, but of course, it is not 100% sure. In fact, there are people who have survived the Golden Gate Bridge. In any case, the survivors are very few.

Freak fact: Inevitably the body will try to land with the feet together

what if you're high as balls? benzos weed and alcohol? maybe place many rocks on the ground to make the landing more rough?

This method is instant death so being stoned is not an obstacle. However, it can have a bad trip so it would not be pleasant at all if we want to die in peace. Where it lands is also an important factor, but usually the floors of buildings are made of concrete, so there won't be any problems. Yes, you can put some stones for more impact. As long as the ground is hard, it's fine. Once the attempt is started, it cannot be stopped. You can practice a bit going up to the highest floor and see where you would fall, look for people (to avoid landing on them). The most important thing about this method is the courage involved in jumping. There is a trick of counting to 5. Upon reaching the number 3, the person launches. The brain is fooled. Anyway.... I hope you find the solution to your problem. I'm sorry you're going through this, friend
