I would be fine with D pouring out the N into an inconspicuous bottle labeled as something else, identified as a cosmetics product for example. I mean the trust is already there with D. There's no point in cutting the product because if he does then multiple people would fail to ctb and report back and he'd lose business over a few bucks.
There's no point in being anal about a sealed bottle if you aren't going to get it in the first place.
Unless the cause of interception lies at some other endpoint (like if he's stupid enough not to be using disposable BTC addresses), I don't see why the solution isn't as simple as this.
