I'd recommend reading through this thread if you haven't already:
https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/carbon-monoxide-megathread.2053/

It's a lot of pages, but several people post stories of failed CO attempts as well as links to outside sources. It's a bit of a messy thread, but there's a lot of good information mixed in it

Thank you. Yeah, that thread is a shitshow. I've read it, I'm still recovering! I don't recall a whole lot of failure stories, but if I'm feeling particularly motivated I'll look again.

It is definitely a challenging method. I'm drawn to the potential peacefulness and near-instant loss of consciousness and death if done right. The challenge is doing it right. I wish there was as much info and straightforward guidance as there is about SN.

I have more confidence in the SN method but don't want the suffering. I already know for certain some of the symptoms I will have (tachycardia, difficulty breathing), and I will have to be very motivated if I'm going to experience that suffering for up to 20 minutes.

I can't endure the 20 mins either and with my horrific luck I'd stay conscious longer. I envisioned CO how you describe but i can't set it up and will fail without doing it right. I would only have acces to a rental car and cheap small bbq or maybe chimney starter. I'm doomed to suffer more years in hell

Trying to add a thread but not sure this worked. A couple just dragged 2 charcoal grills into their bedroom and shut the door. If done in a car one small grill should suffice
